Amazfit Helio Strap 2 FCC filing points to autumn 2026 launch

Zepp Health, the parent company of Amazfit, has filed new regulatory documents with the US Federal Communications Commission that strongly point to a second-generation Helio Strap arriving before the end of 2026. The filing, first surfaced in May 2026, lists two model numbers — A2671 and A2672 — under the category of a "Smart sensor", and sits alongside on-record comments from the company's own chief financial officer confirming the product is in development.

What the FCC filing actually shows

The FCC documents do not name the device outright, but the hardware description, form factor and timing make the Helio Strap 2 the obvious candidate. According to regulatory records, the device is a screenless Bluetooth Low Energy sensor operating in the 2.4GHz band. There is no GPS, Wi-Fi, LTE or NFC present in any of the visible documentation.

The external drawing on file shows a small rectangular module with rounded corners, a large circular sensor area on the rear, and two charging contacts beneath it — a layout that closely mirrors the current Helio Core module. The battery capacity is listed at 230 mAh, which is nearly identical to the existing Helio Core. According to reporting by gadgetsandwearables.com, that means any improvement in battery life will need to come from gains in sensor or radio efficiency rather than a physically larger cell.

Zepp Health requested that external photos, internal photos, test setup images and the user manual all remain confidential until the product is marketed, or for 180 days from the FCC grant date — whichever comes first. The confidentiality request is dated 12 May 2026, which means the withheld documents would likely become public around early to mid November 2026 if the product has not launched by then.

The two model numbers filed as electrically identical almost certainly represent the same Core-and-Strap split seen in the original Helio product line, according to analysis by the5krunner.com. This is not a Pro model or a size variant — it is the same sensor module sold separately alongside the complete unit.

Management has already confirmed it is coming

This is not purely a case of reading regulatory tea leaves. Zepp Health CFO Leon Deng put it plainly during the company's Q4 2025 earnings call:

"Helio Strap…has been the most popular…in our portfolio…we didn't manufacture enough…we are also working on the next generation of those as we speak. So stay tuned for the second half of this year."

By the Q2 2026 earnings call, the Helio Ring 2 and Helio Strap 2 were both officially confirmed for H2 2026, according to notebookcheck.net. That brings Amazfit's confirmed 2026 product tally to nine against the company's own guidance of ten or more launches across the year. Amazfit launched six products in Q2 2026 alone, with CFO Deng indicating only one or two more are expected before December — the Helio Strap 2 occupies one of those remaining slots.

How this fits into a very busy Amazfit product calendar

It is worth being clear about where the Helio Strap 2 sits within Amazfit's current line-up, because the picture has become more complicated in recent months. On 18 June 2026, Amazfit announced the Helio Strap Pro — a separate, higher-end body-worn training system aimed specifically at HYROX and hybrid athletes. Priced at $199.99 through Amazfit.com and select retailers, the Helio Strap Pro adds a dedicated waist-mounted motion sensor for capturing core-body movement and stability during training. A UK price has not been confirmed.

The Helio Strap 2 described in the FCC filing is a different product altogether — the mainstream successor to the original tracker, not a professional-tier upgrade. Think of it as the replacement for the £99.90 device already sitting in UK buyers' wishlists, not a companion to the Pro system.

The supply picture for the current model

Meanwhile, anyone hoping to buy the existing Helio Strap is still navigating a difficult stock situation. Zepp Health's Q2 2026 earnings report, published on 1 September 2026, stated plainly: "Demand for Helio Strap also exceeded available supply during the second quarter. We expect supply to recover partially during the third quarter and to be fully restored during the fourth quarter."

Deng echoed that on the earnings call: "On Helio Strap, we are gradually working on fully restoring the supply bottleneck. In Q3, you will still see the impact of the supply constraint a little bit…In Q4, we are expecting the Helio Strap to be in full supply."

The original Helio Strap — Amazfit's first screen-free fitness, recovery and sleep tracker — launched on 24 June 2025 and was out of stock in the UK from late 2025. It only returned to Amazfit's UK online store at £99.90 in early June 2026, and had yet to reach the official Amazon UK storefront at that point.

What we still do not know
