Amazfit Balance 3 and Balance Ultra Arrive With HYROX Sport Focus
Zepp Health's two new flagship watches bring faster processors, brighter screens, and dedicated HYROX race tools — and both are now available in the UK.
What you need to know
- Amazfit Balance 3 (stainless steel) costs £370 in the UK; the Balance Ultra costs £600 — both on sale now via Amazfit.com and Amazon.
- Balance 3 offers a 21-day battery, 3,000-nit sapphire display, 64GB storage, and 10 ATM water resistance; the Ultra adds a 30-day battery in a 44.8mm titanium case.
- Both watches include dedicated HYROX training tools, offline maps, and support for Strava, TrainingPeaks, Komoot, and Stryd foot pods.
Zepp Health launched the Amazfit Balance 3 and Balance Ultra at HYROX New York on 2 June 2026, and both watches have since gone on sale in the UK — the stainless-steel Balance 3 and the Balance Ultra from the turn of June and July, with the titanium Balance 3 following a few weeks later. UK prices start at £370 for the Balance 3 stainless steel, rising to £450 for the titanium variant and £600 for the Balance Ultra. All models are available via Amazfit.com, and both are listed on Amazon.

What You Are Actually Getting for £370
The Balance 3 is a 51.4mm watch, 14.6mm thick, built around a 1.5-inch AMOLED display protected by sapphire crystal glass. Peak brightness has jumped to 3,000 nits — up 50 per cent from the 2,000 nits on the Balance 2. The stainless-steel version weighs 62g; the forthcoming titanium model shaves that to 55g.
Battery life is rated at up to 21 days of typical use from a 658mAh cell, with continuous GPS endurance quoted at 41 hours. Storage doubles compared to the Balance 2, rising from 32GB to 64GB. Water resistance is rated at 10 ATM, covering swimming and freediving to 45 metres.
The control layout is one of the more notable physical changes. Where the Balance 2 had a rotating crown and a single button on the right side, the Balance 3 adds two further buttons on the left — four in total. There is also a dual-mode LED flashlight (white, red, and SOS modes) that was absent on the previous generation. NFC, a speaker, and a microphone are all present.
Connectivity runs over Bluetooth 5.2 and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. The watch is compatible with Android 8.0 and iOS 17.0 or later.
The Balance Ultra: Amazfit's Most Expensive Watch Ever
The Balance Ultra is positioned as the premium option and, according to Amazfit, is the most expensive watch the brand has ever released. At 44.8mm × 44.8mm and 13.4mm thick (15.5mm including the heart rate sensor), it is built from grade 5 titanium alloy with sapphire crystal glass and weighs 57g without its strap. It ships with two straps in the box — a synthetic leather option and a silicone one.
The 780mAh battery is rated at up to 30 days of typical use, or up to 50 hours in Accuracy GPS Mode. Always-on display reduces that to approximately 10 days. The Ultra carries five physical buttons — three on the left side versus one on the Balance 3 — and is available in Black and Black-Brown. At £600, it is available exclusively in titanium through Amazfit UK, Amazfit EU, and Amazfit US.
Shared Hardware and Software
Both watches run on the ZPS3044S processor, which Amazfit says renders maps 2.5 times faster and refreshes them 12 times faster than the ZPS3044 chip inside the Balance 2. They share the BioTracker 6.0 PPG biometric sensor, dual-band GPS with compatibility across six satellite positioning systems, 64GB storage, offline maps, and route navigation.
The operating system is Zepp OS 6, and third-party platform support is broad: Strava, TrainingPeaks, Komoot, adidas Running, and Intervals.icu are all supported. Both watches can connect to external accessories including heart rate monitors, cycling power meters, and Stryd foot pods — a meaningful feature for UK club runners and triathletes who already have kit invested in the ANT+ and Bluetooth accessory ecosystem.
HYROX Integration: More Than a Badge
The launch at HYROX New York was not incidental. Amazfit serves as the Official Wearable and Timekeeping Partner of HYROX under a two-year deal between Zepp Health and the race organisation — a partnership that supports an estimated 300,000 athletes per season across Europe and the United States. The 2025/26 HYROX season spans over 100 global races, with approximately 1.2 million athletes expected to attend.
HYROX events follow a consistent structure: participants run 1km and then complete a functional workout station, repeated eight times across the race. The Balance 3 and Balance Ultra include a dedicated HYROX training library, personalised race strategies based on venue layouts, and detailed post-race analysis tools — all integrated into what Zepp Health calls its Hybrid Training System, which combines watch hardware with Zepp App intelligence across strength, endurance, recovery, and daily activity.
Wayne Huang, CEO of Zepp Health, said of the HYROX partnership: "I am delighted to announce our partnership with HYROX, aligning two forces dedicated to pushing the boundaries of athletic achievement and unlocking human potential. Through our smartwatches and fitness wearables, we aim to empower athletes to reach their peak performance and transform their everyday lives."
HYROX Co-founder and CMO Moritz Fürste added: "The sport of Hyrox is evolving rapidly, and the future of fitness racing is now intertwined with cutting-edge smartwear technology Amazfit. The upcoming development of a Hyrox race mode and integration within Hyrox365 will be a great aid for athletes and training clubs going forward."
How It Compares and What Comes Next
The Balance 2 launched at £299.90 and remains available — still a reasonable option if the new generation's upgrades (brighter screen, faster processor, flashlight, and HYROX tooling) do not apply to your training. The Balance 3 stainless steel's jump to £370 is a £70 increase but buys meaningfully more hardware. Independent reviewers have noted that Amazfit is now "easily on a par with Coros and Polar, maybe even Suunto" — a significant shift in how the brand is regarded at this price level.
- Balance 3 Stainless Steel: £370 — available now
- Balance 3 Titanium: £450 — available now (followed a few weeks after the stainless launch)
- Balance Ultra: £600 — available now, titanium only
All three models are available at Amazfit.com. Amazon availability has been confirmed globally, though specific Amazon UK listing details had not been independently re-verified at the time of writing.
Why it matters
For UK buyers the Balance 3 is the one to watch at £370: you get a sapphire screen, three weeks of battery, and full offline navigation at a price that undercuts comparable Garmin hardware by a meaningful margin. HYROX is growing fast on this side of the Atlantic — over 100 global races and an estimated 1.2 million athletes in the 2025/26 season alone — and no rival brand has backed the format with this level of hardware and software integration. The Balance Ultra's £600 price tag is bold but calculated, sitting well below the Apple Watch Ultra and in Garmin Fenix/Epix territory. Independent assessors have noted Amazfit is now "easily on a par with Coros and Polar, maybe even Suunto," which gives the range genuine credibility rather than just headline-grabbing specs.
